Fed Meeting Schedule 2026
The Federal Open Market Committee holds eight regularly scheduled meetings in 2026. Rate decisions are published at 2:00pm ET on the second day of each meeting, followed by the Chair's press conference at 2:30pm ET. Four of the eight meetings are accompanied by a Summary of Economic Projections (SEP), including the dot plot — those tend to be the highest-volatility sessions of the macro calendar.

How to trade FOMC days
Liquidity thins ahead of the 2:00pm ET statement and rate-sensitive assets — front-end Treasuries, the dollar, gold and index futures — typically repricing twice: once on the statement, again during the press conference. SEP meetings add the dot plot, where the median 2026 and 2027 rate path often moves markets more than the decision itself.
