NFP Release Schedule 2026
The US Bureau of Labor Statistics publishes the Employment Situation report — the Non-Farm Payrolls release — twelve times in 2026, always at 8:30am ET, usually on the first Friday of the month. Each report covers hiring, unemployment and wage growth for the prior month. NFP is one of the two highest-impact US data prints alongside CPI — it drives Fed rate expectations, Treasury yields, the dollar and equity index futures within seconds of release.

How to trade NFP days
The repricing happens in the first seconds after 8:30am ET: a payrolls surprise of 75–100k against consensus routinely moves ten-year Treasury yields by ten basis points or more and reprices Fed funds futures for the next two meetings. Watch the headline payrolls change first, then the unemployment rate and average hourly earnings for the wage-pressure signal — and check the net revisions to prior months, which can quietly overturn the initial market reaction.
