I predict the oil price will get above $150 a barrel before end of September. The longest it could take is till end of this year, if there is some major manipulation to keep the price low, there could be.

The US and Israel are blowing up oil infrastructure in Iran, and in retaliation, Iran is blowing up US allies' oil infrastructure, which is reducing the amount of oil refined for use available. At the same time, they are blocking the Strait of Hormuz, and the Houthis are blocking off the other side in the Red Sea. So the oil that is refined can't be delivered to where it needs to go.

Even if they all made friends today – they won't – it would take months to get the oil from where it is to where it needs to go. Also, Ukraine is blowing up oil infrastructure in Russia, and oil facilities around the world keep mysteriously exploding: Viva Energy Geelong Refinery in Australia, HPCL Pachpadra Refinery in India, Pemex Dos Bocas in Mexico, and many more.

The oil reserves are the only thing that makes it possible for governments to make everything look normal to the general public. When that runs out, some areas will go fully Mad Max – you know that film was about an oil shortage.

There could be power cuts and food shortages because food needs to be transported from where it is to where it's going, and on top of that, they are blowing up the fertiliser to grow food, so less food will be grown this year. They are also blowing up natural gas that heats people's homes and people use to cook food. Another thing they are targeting is helium – I've got camping stoves and gas ready, and dry foods you can buy. When you can't cook food, might trade one for a car when people can't cook food and the car is no use to them because no petrol at the pumps. Helium is important for semiconductor manufacturing and leak detection for making Nvidia GPUs and data centre cooling, all for AI. I might stock up on balloons and helium for balloons to sell for billionaires' kids' parties during the apocalypse.
